Alexander A. Adler, MD, FACC, FHFSA, is a 1987-graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureş in Târgu Mureş, Romania. His postgraduate training includes his internships at the Municipal Hospital of Sighisoara (1987-1988) and Clinica Medicala Arnaldo (1988-1989). He then went to Israel where he completed his internal medicine residency (1990-1996) and cardiovascular medicine fellowship (2001) at Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer in Ramat-Gan. Dr. Adler relocated to the United States, where he conducted a fellowship in heart failure and transplantation at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine (2004). He attained board certification in internal medicine (2010), cardiovascular disease medicine (2012) and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology (2014) with the American Board of Internal Medicine. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Heart Failure Society of America (FHFSA), Dr. Adler is a polyglot who speaks French, Hebrew, Hungarian, and Romanian in addition to English.
